Prof. Dr. Georgi Lozanov

Professor Doctor Georgi Lozanov 1926 is a physician, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, brain physiologist and pedagogue. He is the creator of the science of Suggestology and its application in pedagogy, namely Suggestopedia. The methodology releases the reserve capacities of the students in a newly organized teaching/learning communication environment. He established and was the head of Research Institute of Suggestology, Sofia, Bulgaria; Centre of Suggestology and Development of Personality at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Sofia, Bulgaria; International Centre of Desuggestology, Vienna, Austria; International Centre for Training Teachers, Viktorsgerb, Voralberg, Austria; and Lozanov International Trainers Association, Sofia, Bulgaria.
